Two

On Monday June 25th, Hadley turned two!

We spent her big day going to sports class at The Y, to the pool with her bestie Stella, home for a quick nap, then to the park and ice cream with Stella again, and finally meeting dad out for a birthday dinner.

Summer birthdays are the best.

A few things about this big two year old...

Loves being in the water, coloring, blowing bubbles, dancing, singing wheels on the bus, making huge messes, playgrounds, sunglasses, bossing Brady around, balloons, stealing anyone else's drink that she can get her hands on, still obsessed with all things Mickey Mouse, requests to 'go downstairs and watch a show' the second she wakes up in the morning, could live on smoothies and chips (like her dad).

She is the most social thing ever, has all the girls at the gym daycare a couple times wrapped around her finger, her best friends are Stella, Lincoln, Carsyn and loves talking about babies but never wants to actually hold them or anything to do with them! We do music class almost all year, swim lessons have turned her into a little fish, and this summer we are doing a sports class and gymnastics, which she LOVES. Always leaves the class crying to 'go back to nastics'. We also have a splash pad and pool membership, so we are keeping very busy which is right up her alley! Nothing makes her crankier than staying at home all day (like her mom).

Happy Birthday, Hadley girl! You are wild, silly, fearless, fun-loving, and so kind- and always dressed better than me- and I hope you never, ever change. We thank God for you every day and love you SO much!

Oh Two-odles!

Hadley is two!

She is still totally obsessed with all things Mickey Mouse, so it only made sense to throw her an "Oh Two-odles" party to celebrate the big day! We had all of her favorite people over, a hotdog bar, bounce house, and plenty of Mickey ears and cupcakes to go around.

What more could a two year old want?!

Shoutout to Target for having all of the Mickey things right now & making my party planning incredibly easy.

We actually remembered to sing Happy Birthday to her this year! First birthday party fail.

Thanks to all of our friends and family that came to spend the day and totally spoil our girl!

Rosemary Beach

Back in April, we headed out on a little family spring break to Rosemary Beach in Florida. I've been to Florida a million times, but never to this particular strip of beach towns called '30A'. It was supposed to be very family friendly, lots of cute restaurants, shops and things to do. Basically perfect for us. We were also really excited to bring Hadley to the Gulf for the first time! We booked a great little condo right on the beach thinking we'd be spending all of our time there.

We got in on Saturday afternoon and first thing we did (after naps + lunch) was to hit the beach. We were all so excited...

... and here's how it really went down, ha! Hads was not a fan of the beach. Thankfully we made sure to book a condo with a pool, too!

Puddle Jumping

Last week on our way home from Costco, we decided to pull over and actually put our rain boots to their proper use. Why not, right?! Hadley looooved it. She was splashing and laughing (and basically looking like a teenager), so I had to grab my camera. We even came across a random duck and met a nice lady and her dog that were out on a walk, so the whole thing completely made Hadley's day. Rainy days aren't so bad after all.
